A modular isolated battery‐integrated multiport step‐up DC–DC converter for hybrid energy applications

In this paper, a modular isolated battery-integrated multiport step-up dc–dc converter is designed for simultaneous energy transfer from multiple renewable sources (RESs) to load. The proposed offers plug-and-play capability of input where each can be connected and disconnected the converter. power generation shortage/surplus managed by battery inserted into bidirectional port. Also, charging/discharging durations are independent switching duty ratios sources. presented converter, inputs in parallel with common ground through individual cells while outputs series voltage doubler rectifiers (VDRs) achieve higher gains lower stress on output capacitors. Moreover, leakage inductances transformers dc blocking capacitors provide quasi-resonant operation alleviate high turn-off currents switches hard-switching VDR diodes. Due interactions control loops, MIMO closed-loop system regulate at references. simulation experimental results obtained three verify performance developed different modes.
